The first installment of Selfies Abroad!
I don’t take a lot of selfies in America, but I figured while I was abroad, I’d be doing some solo traveling but still would want photos of myself, so I thought I would perfect the art of the selfie.
These are all photos from my first week in Morocco. The first is before I left, with my backpack. The second is on the roof of our hotel, where we stayed the first four days. The third is in front of Parliament, and the fourth is at the unfinished mosque. The final one is from the same day, but taken in the Casbah in Rabat.
How to swag
I HAVE WAITED ALL YEAR TO POST THIS.
I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS PHOTOSET ALL DAY

HAPPY 50TH ANNIVERSARY! ♡
Fun fact: My grandfather was a stagehand for most of his life, and in the 60s he was a stagehand on the Ed Sullivan Show. So he was there when the Beatles performed, and set up the stage and everything. Apparently girls were so excited they were literally wetting themselves in the theater.
The way he tells it, the Beatles were impressed with his work and asked him to come on tour with them. He declined, because he had a young family and because, he “thought they would be a fad.”
"Do you think she just woke up one morning and said -"
"I think I’ll go to law school today."
Pete Seeger by Annie Leibovitz
I have resolved to not be on tumblr much this semester while I study abroad in *drumroll* Rabat, Morocco!
But if you can’t get enough of me, you can check out my study abroad blog at http://bellamollyandjessabroad.wordpress.com/.
Some funny escapades will ensue.
I love my country very dearly, and I greatly resent the implication that some of the places that I have sung and some of the people that I have known, and some of my opinions, whether they are religious or philosophical, make me less of an American.
I have a lot of thoughts about Pete Seeger right now.
